We're back for the always-amazing Bay View Gallery Night! This time, we're so excited to be featuring local textile artist, Grace Rother, who will be showing a series of quilts pieced around concepts of homeland and homecoming. We're thrilled to have their beautiful and intricate work in the space. Please respect the artist and don't touch the quilts--as tempting as it may be!
A limited supply of bespoke, signature cocktails and mocktails will be available from our wonderful catering partner, Nomadic Beverage Company! Drink tickets can be purchased here, in advance, or at the door. No cash bar.
At 7:30 we'll also run a ticketed behind-the-scenes tour to showcase The Bindery's historic book equipment and printshop.

Artist Bio:
Grace Rother (b. 1989) is a Great Lakes Region textile artist. Their work revolves around the concept of quilts as personal and regional archives. Grace grew up in SE Michigan surrounded by people with strong convictions and passionate creativity. Following in the footsteps of many other quilt makers before her, Grace utilizes quilts as catalysts for change through community organizing and raffles. In 2020 Grace organized the Abolition Quilting Bee. Her work has been shown in Chicago, Milwaukee, New York City, and Ypsilanti Michigan.
