Milwaukee Zine Fest is a free annual celebration of zine culture, small press publishing, and other independent, self-created wonders in magazine-like format. More than 100 vendors from all over the country pop up at Milwaukee Central Library to sell their wares: wacky, artistic, creative and sometimes highly personal works in simple booklet form. What's a zine? Why do zines matter? Check out milwaukeezinefest.org to learn more.
Join us for a fun day of free browsing, special workshops, hands-on experiences, and the chance to support a vibrant part of Milwaukee's artistic heritage. First formed in 2008, MZF is one of country's longest-standing independent zine festivals, run by a group of dedicated volunteers, produced by The Bindery in partnership with our friends at Milwaukee Public Library.
2024 marks our 16th year! To celebrate we're expanding the fest to be bigger and better than ever! More vendors, more space: come on by to join us as we grow!
You don't need a ticket to attend but we like to get a sense of anticipated attendees to let our vendors know and to otherwise address any access needs. Please let us know you're coming by getting a free ticket (again, you don't need to bring it with you or do anything else: just show up! We can't wait to see you!)
