Curious about letterpress? Love Milwaukee Zine Fest? Swing by The Bindery at ANY POINT of this open house to help print our annual letterpress poster for MZF. We'll have historic wood and metal type on our Vandercook press, plus a new linocut block by local artist and printmaker, Hunter Louis.
This is a great chance to try your hand at letterpress, learn how the equipment works, check out The Bindery, and support Milwaukee Zine Fest! (MZF is volunteer run and says "no thanks" to corporate sponsors: it's 100% community supported! Thank you!) This open house helps us pay Hunter for his art, and helps pay for the fest's free on-site workshops day-of: so come learn while giving back to your local artists' community!
Anyone is welcome to stop by for free to check it out (though please register for $0.00 so we know you're coming)! Anyone who'd like to support the fest for $10 or more will also walk away with a poster of their own as a special thanks!

Milwaukee Zine Fest is a free annual celebration of zine culture, small press publishing, and other independent, self-created wonders in magazine-like format. This year it's on April 20th from 10:30am to 4:30pm at Milwaukee Central Library. Check out milwaukeezinefest.org to learn more.
