Join us for an evening of handcrafted box-making. Drop spine boxes are highly customizable and can store books, paper, objects, or other flat items. They are a great intermediate-level project for those who have made similar items in the past (or who have taken our introductory box-building course).
In this workshop each student will be provided with pre-cut supplies and will create their own drop spine box covered in bookcloth and decorative papers of their choosing. The techniques learned are directly transferable to other sizes and materials for students to apply to future projects.
This workshop is led by our colleague Melissa Wagner-Lawler and will be tailored to the group's skill level--however, previous experience with gluing small details and fine cutting is required: this class will move at a reasonably fast pace. All professional grade materials are included in this class's cost: we hope to see you there!
